Hôtel des Théâtres: A New Acquisition for EXTENDAM and SOHOMA
EXTENDAM and SOHOMA have acquired the real estate and business assets of the Hôtel des Théâtres, a 4-star independent boutique hotel located on Rue de Cléry in Paris’s vibrant 2nd arrondissement. After a six-month renovation phase, the hotel’s 38 rooms will join the Orso Hotels collection operated by SOHOMA. This acquisition is part of EXTENDAM’s hospitality club deal investment program. The transaction was made possible thanks to the trust of EXTENDAM’s distribution partners from both banking networks and independent wealth management advisors.
A Value-Add Strategy for a Premium Location
Situated in the Sentier district, the Hôtel des Théâtres has seen minimal renovations over the years. EXTENDAM and its partner plan to enhance the property’s offering. A renovation of the rooms and common areas is scheduled to begin in autumn 2026, aimed at creating a warm, intimate atmosphere and delivering a more functional, personalized guest experience.
The ground floor will be redesigned to provide a calmer, more serene welcome experience. A revamped dining concept will include a 24/7 snacking service to improve overall guest satisfaction.
The property’s environmental and social performance will also be improved. Renovations will focus on enhancing energy efficiency, and SOHOMA—known for its strong ESG values—will implement an operational strategy that reflects its commitment to sustainability and good governance.
Located near both Gare de l’Est and Gare du Nord, the hotel boasts excellent connectivity to major Paris landmarks via Metro lines 4, 8, and 9. It also offers direct access to Charles de Gaulle Airport. The Strasbourg Saint-Denis neighborhood is widely appreciated for its numerous theatres, museums, and restaurants.
The Orso Hotels Collection
The Orso Hotels collection was created by SOHOMA to bring together a group of Parisian boutique hotels under a shared philosophy of hospitality and a family spirit. Each Orso property maintains its own unique style and personality, offering inviting spaces for guests at any time of day.
The Hôtel des Théâtres will join an existing lineup that includes:
Hôtel Ami, Hôtel Rochechouart, Hôtel Doisy, Hôtel Orphée, Hôtel Léopold, Hôtel Wallace, and Hôtel Cabane.
“Hôtel des Théâtres now holds all the cards to fully benefit from France’s renewed appeal following major international events such as the 2023 and 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are proud to invest in this asset, ideally located in a premium area. Our value-add investment strategy, combined with our partner SOHOMA’s expertise, should ensure a strong future for this new addition to the Orso Hotels collection,”
say Maxime Durand and Bertrand Pullès of EXTENDAM.
