EXTENDAM Announces the Opening of ibis Styles Madrid Airport Valdebebas

Ibis Styles Madrid Airport Valdebebas C0U5

EXTENDAM continues its expansion in Spain with the opening of the ibis Styles Madrid Airport Valdebebas. With 260 rooms, it becomes the largest ibis Styles hotel in Spain. Located in a rapidly developing area, the hotel is designed to meet the increasing demand for overnight stays from a wide range of guests.

A Strategic Location to Attract Diverse Clientele

The hotel is located in the Valdebebas district, offering direct access to Madrid’s key hubs. It sits directly across from Terminal 4 of Madrid-Barajas Airport and is just minutes away from IFEMA (Spain’s leading convention center), Real Madrid’s Sports City, and the Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium.

The area’s economic growth is being driven by major urban development projects including a new Palace of Justice, a 145,000 m² shopping center, and new office and residential infrastructure. These factors increase the appeal of the hotel for both domestic and international travelers, whether business or leisure.

A Hotel Asset Designed to Match Market Expectations

The ibis Styles Madrid Airport Valdebebas was conceived to blend design and functionality. With 260 rooms (standard, superior, and premium), an original dining offering, a rooftop with a swimming pool, and underground parking, the property meets the needs of travelers looking for comfort in a modern setting with full-service amenities.

The hotel’s design is themed around “Alice in Wonderland”, offering guests a unique and immersive experience. This concept reflects the upscaling of the economy hotel segment, which is increasingly focused on strong visual themes and brand identity to attract a broad audience.

“The opening of this hotel comes at a particularly favorable time for hotel investment in Spain. Madrid shows strong performance, with key industry metrics continuing to rise. In 2024, the city’s average occupancy rate increased by 5.2%, reaching 74%, while RevPAR grew by 21.8% to €125. These trends confirm Madrid’s rising appeal for travelers and investors, driven by the ongoing upmarket shift in the hotel offering,”
note Inès de l’Aulnoit, Caroline Betemps, and Bertrand Pullès for EXTENDAM.

A Strategic Partnership with AGP Hotels

For this project, EXTENDAM partnered with AGP Hotels, an independent hotel operator specializing in the management of economy and midscale hotels across Europe. Founded by Alexandre Guénant, AGP Hotels is known for its expertise in operating and repositioning branded hotel assets.

“This hotel was designed with solutions aimed at reducing its environmental footprint. The building integrates advanced energy efficiency technologies, including a domestic hot water system powered by renewable energy, and intelligent consumption management. These initiatives are part of a broader responsible investment approach that seeks to combine economic performance with a positive impact on the environment and local communities,”
adds Alexandre Guénant, Founder of AGP Hotels.
