Which is the best country to invest in?
At Extendam, we favor a diversified pan-European approach rather than targeting a single country as the “best.” Our strategy is to seize investment opportunities in mid-scale and upscale hotels across the major territories of the pan-European zone. Geographic diversification is a pillar of our strategy, with a portfolio distributed between major European metropolises and mid-sized cities.

Why invest in the European hotel industry?
The hotel industry is a major asset class within a unique global market. Europe is the world’s leading tourist destination, accounting for over 50% of international visitor flows each year². It also holds the world’s largest hotel stock, representing more than 32% of the global supply¹.
The European market is characterized by a persistent structural shortage of hotel supply. This constraint is notably due to the scarcity of urban land, environmental regulations limiting soil sealing (artificialization), and the regular closure of small-scale establishments that are not being replaced. In this context, demand for accommodation continues to grow faster than supply, helping to maintain some of the highest occupancy rates in the world³.

Where to invest in Europe?
Our investments are made in existing hotel SMEs (Real Estate and Business Assets) as well as hotel developments, focusing on the mid-scale to upscale segments (3, 4 stars and above).
We rigorously target prime strategic locations: on one hand, Major European Metropolises, essential for capturing international business and leisure demand; and on the other, Mid-sized Cities that benefit from strong connectivity and solid local economic dynamics. This selectivity spans several European countries (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, etc.) and is always carried out in partnership with experienced hotel operators who co-invest alongside us to ensure an alignment of interests. Our goal is to provide you with access to this asset class, allowing you to benefit from our expertise in Hotel Asset Management and operational value creation.
